What we collect

When you fill out our housing request form, we collect:

• Your name and email (always)
• Phone number (optional)
• University, intended move-in date, monthly budget, country of origin (always)
• Free-text message you optionally provide
• Technical metadata: IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, timestamp, and a country derived from your IP — used only for spam scoring and analytics

Why we collect it

We use your housing preferences to match you with verified property management partners and forward your inquiry. The technical metadata is used solely to score submissions for spam (e.g., to filter out bots) and to ensure quality of service.

Who we share it with

When you submit the form, we forward your name, contact info, university, budget, and move-in date to the relevant property management partner(s) so they can respond with options. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

Service providers we use to operate the site (storage, email delivery): Supabase (database), Resend (transactional email), Hostinger (web hosting), and Cloudflare (anti-spam protection). These providers process data on our behalf under standard data-protection agreements.

How we store and protect it

Lead data is stored in Supabase Postgres with row-level security, accessible only via server-side keys. Connections are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not store payment information.

How long we keep it

We retain housing inquiries for up to 24 months to help with follow-up communications and trend analysis. After that, identifying fields are deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email myhomeversity@gmail.com with the email address you used on the form. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We do not use marketing or third-party tracking cookies. The site sets only the essential cookies needed for language preference and session management.

International transfers

Our services run on US-based infrastructure. If you submit data from outside the US, you consent to its transfer and storage in the US.

Children

Our service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
