About MyHomeversity
MyHomeversity is a free housing-discovery service for international students arriving at top US universities. We're built by someone who has worked inside the US student-housing industry — and the goal is simple: make finding your first US apartment effortless, scam-free, and in your language.
Why we exist
The current state of US student housing is unfair to international students: language barriers, no US credit history, broker fees of thousands of dollars, scams on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace, and landlords who reject international applications without explanation.
We work directly with verified property management partners who actively want international students. We forward your inquiry, coordinate viewings, help with no-credit-history paperwork, and stay with you through lease signing.
How we make money
Property management partners pay us a referral fee when a lease is signed. Students pay us nothing — ever. We disclose this so you know we're aligned: we only get paid if you find a place you actually move into.

Languages
We provide service in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Hindi. WeChat and WhatsApp inquiries from these student communities are common. Most major property managers we work with have international student desks that speak multiple languages.
Trust + verification
- Every property partner is vetted before we forward leads.
- We never share your data with anyone except the property partner you're inquiring about.
- Your information is stored on US-based encrypted infrastructure.
- Any submission is yours to delete at any time.
