If you are subletting your place, check your lease first. Many leases need the landlord's written approval. Put the dates, the rent and who pays utilities in a written agreement. If you are taking a sublet, see the place or a live video tour first, and do not send money before you have signed. If something feels rushed, slow down and ask here.
